Round conference tables are a great fit in small to medium-sized rooms. These tables are great for small or cluttered rooms because they take up vertical space instead of horizontal. While they don`t offer the space of bigger conference room tables, they do provide a more intimate experience, which can be beneficial for close-knit teams or for one on one interviews.

Lateral filing cabinets are the most convenient, allowing easy view of the entire contents of the drawer. These cabinets are designed so that the files face one edge of the drawer and are arranged horizontally across the width of the drawer. Given the design, these cabinets take up a significant amount of floor space. Lateral cabinet sizes vary widely. They are customarily available in two through six drawer sizes with drawers designed to accommodate anything from a standard letter size up to a legal size document. The standard depth is usually no less than 16 inches in order to allow the entire file to be pulled out from the cabinet. Drawer height is most commonly around 11 inches allowing paper up to at least that wide to be filed. The width will determine how much can be stored in each drawer. This number varies greatly and can be a determining factor in purchasing storage cabinets. The only issue is that they take up significantly more floor space than a standard vertical file cabinet.
Stand up desks can actually give you the option of standing or sitting. By using a taller chair, such as a drafting chair, you can sit at the desk quite easily. This option gives you the ability to vary your position throughout the day, which can help reduce neck, back and wrist strain.
A computer desk with hutch is a very compact piece of furniture that is really useful for any office settings. A desk not only saves office space, but it also serves multiple purposes along with holding the computer. A desk with a hutch can store the various necessary office materials such as important documents, files, CDs and so on. Thus it saves you from getting up from your work and collect things from other places. These desks with a hutch allow you to store all the essential office supplies at one place making your office world more comfortable.
Modern desk lamps are available that occupy very little desk space, some even have a clamp type arrangement for fixing to the desk, thereby eliminating the need for a heavy base. They also feature cantilevered arms for directing the light to a more appropriate spot to suit your particular task in hand. They are also available with halogen lamps, led lamps, energy saving lamps and regular incandescent lamps, although with the huge steps in energy saving technology, the incandescent option is becoming less popular.
Different room arrangements impact the feel and effectiveness of a learning environment. I prefer the sunburst arrangement, which is a modified herringbone or chevron. Other trainers prefer the U shape. Our personal experiences with these arrangements have a direct bearing on our preferences. My favorite training room arrangement has participants seated at rectangular tables. Each table has one end slanted toward the middle front of the room, with four participants seated along the two long sides of each table and one seated at the far end of the table facing the front of the room. The screen at the front of the room is the focal point, with the tables creating a sunburst effect.
The type of file cabinet you will choose depends on the space you have. If you have room, a lateral file cabinet is great: you will be able to reach all your file easily and the top is a lot more usable to store stuff. But if you do not have free space, a vertical file cabinet may be best. You can put a small 2 drawers unit under your desk or beside it as a computer or scanner table, or opt for a big 4 or 5 drawers cabinet that can be put in a corner for the best storage capacity.
